PHP (sort of) and California
I think this semester has been the “easiest” so far. I’m only taking 5 classes compared to the 7 I took each semester last year. Thanks to my lighter course load and feeling like I’m not getting what I want out of my major, I took a course at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in Dynamic Web Art & PHP. It was a 6-weeks long, once a week for 3 hours. At its completion, I am really happy that I took it and pleased with the skills I acquired. It was the course to be taken after the beginner course, which I didn’t do but I enjoyed the challenge.
I also had the wonderful opportunity to go out to California for 10 days to visit my boyfriend who is pictured and mentioned in many previous posts. Long distance is tough, but it also makes the time we have together so very special. I felt as happy as I did when we were in Germany; care-free and just blissful. Once again I got to experience the awe and curiosity that I love so much of seeing and experiencing new places, like San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. It’s also refreshing to know that I’ve found somewhere that I see myself living when I graduate and who I want to spend that time with. San Francisco is my goal. I would do LA too. Or Portland. Something new.
